Testimonials from our Hospice Clients

"Without the caring help from Kosciusko Hospice's nurses and aides, I wouldn't have been able to care for my husband at home the last three months of his illness."
—Maryon
wife

"As a local physician, I have always been pleased with the care provided by our local Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice team. I had the opportunity, however, to benefit from their services on a personal level when both my parents went home to be with the Lord this past year. If you want to look for true heroes in the medical world, you will find them on this team.

Caring, committed and sacrificing for their patients, they always find a way to come through. Thank God for each and every one of them."

"I want to thank you all for tending to my mother, Catherine Kintzel. She passed away 12-10-06. Your staff is very caring and did your best to make her happy. I know you have a very difficult job and I can rest assured that you made her comfortable. My family thanks all of you. "

"THE NURSE WE HAD FOR MY MOTHER WAS JEANNE DE WILDE. I CAN NOT FIND THE WORDS TO THANK HER AND OTHERS FOR WHAT THEY DID. NOT ONLY FOR MY MOTHER BUT FOR WHAT THEY DID FOR OUR ENTIRE FAMILY. I FOUND A POEM WRITTEN BY KAREN O'LEARY CALLED THE ORDINARY ANGELS THAT SUM IT ALL UP.

NOT ALL ANGELS ARE IN HEAVEN;
NOT ALL ANGELS HAVE WINGS.
SOME ARE JUST ORDINARY PEOPLE,
WHO DO ORDINARY THINGS.

THEY CARRY THEIR CROSS FOR JESUS
BY THE WAY THEY ACT AND LIVE.
AND WHEN THE NEED ARISES,
OF THEMSELVES THEY WILL GIVE.

QUIET-LIKE AND UNSELFISH,
FOR OTHERS THEY PAVE THE WAY.
THOUGH THEY NEVER WILL ADMIT IT,
THEY OFTEN SAVE THE DAY.

THEY STAND UP FOR CHRISTIAN VALUES
AND ARE HONEST AND TRUE.
THEY TREAT OTHERS WITH COMPASSION,
WITH KINDNESS, AND LOVE TOO.

NOT ALL ANGELS ARE IN HEAVEN;
NOT ALL ANGELS HAVE WINGS.
SOME ARE JUST ORDINARY PEOPLE
WHO DO MANY CHRIST-LIKE THINGS.

THANK YOU ALL FOR THE WORK YOU DO EACH DAY. THOUGH YOU DON'T KNOW IT YOU REALLY ARE ANGELS HERE ON EARTH."
—MICHELLE L. COOKSEY
DAUGHTER OF DIXIE LEE SUMME

"I was very pleased with the hospice service. The home health aides were wonderful. They came every other day to help with bathing and you could just tell that they loved every minute of their job. The nurses were spectacular. There was one that we dealt with the most and she was marvelous, but the others were just as great, we just didn't see them as much. I am very thankful that we had hospice come in when they did. They helped with so many things and also helped us see things that we didn't."
—Tylette Watmough
mother

"Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice came on a Saturday, immediately after I called them for Hospice services. They took my request for help seriously and gave me clear instruction about how Hospice works. Their daily visits made my father's last days so much more comfortable and pain-free. Plus, he was able to leave this world the way he wanted -- with no ambulance and no sirens blaring, but in a peaceful, natural way. Kosciusko Hospice was a loving experience given by dedicated professionals who knew exactly how to help me with the approaching death of my father. "
