Private duty services include the Home Health Aide who provides personal care, and the Homemaker/Companion who assists with household and companionship duties. Services may also include professional nursing care. While some insurance companies may reimburse for these types of services, payment for private duty care is the responsibility of the individual. After a physician's referral for private duty is received, a Registered Nurse will consult with the patient, the family, and the physician. A care plan is created to best meet the patient's needs. The plan is reviewed periodically and adjusted as needed. Private duty services allow patients to remain at home during recuperation and receive assistance with daily activities. |
